Optimize your breath, movement and nutrition with Patrick McKeown, Dr. Eric Cobb and Rhiannon Lambert, hosted by Six Senses Vice President Wellness Mark Sands,

In this two-hour masterclass you will learn:

Practical Breathing to Enhance Athletic Performance

Proper breathing techniques are essential to running and performing at your best. And it’s much more sophisticated than just inhaling and exhaling. Patrick McKeown, of The Oxygen Advantage, The Breathing Cure and Atomic Focus:

  • Ways to simulate altitude training to delay lactic acid and fatigue. Enjoy better stamina and faster run times.
  • How to improve repeated sprint ability without risk of injury.
  • Preparing for competition — how to get in the zone. Better recovery post-exercise and during competition/match season.

Applied Neurology for Better Running Performance

While much has been said and written about the importance of the brain for runners, most of the discussion has been around the “mental game” of endurance athletes. The truth is that there’s much more to it than that!

In this workshop, we will take a fast but deep dive into two critical neurologic systems that drive and regulate our movement: the visual and vestibular (inner ear) systems. We will couple some fun neuroscience with practical personal assessments and exercises that you can use immediately to dramatically improve your running posture, technique, and endurance.

Eating for Speed and Endurance

It is now well established that what you eat can see improvements far beyond body composition. Consuming the right balance of food groups – for your body and personal fitness goals – can help boost performance, strength and endurance, as well as aiding in swift recovery, meaning fewer injuries too. The timing of your food and fluid intake (before, during or after exercise) also impacts your workout success.
